First Outing
Garrett had his first outing today. It was to the doctor, so it was not that exciting but an outing none the less. He weighs 7 pounds today which is very good. He is almost back to his birth weight of 7 pounds and 7 1/2 ounces. He has grown to 21 1/4 inches. He had his first vaccination and a bilirubin test to check on his jaundice. Of course he did appreciate the vaccination or the blood test but he was very brave. The doctor was not overly concerned about the jaundice, she said that he will get better everyday. He really is not that yellow but better to be safe than sorry. He has already changed so much over the past 5 days, it is amazing.
He is doing everything he is suppose to be doing. He is eating well, sleeping 3-4 hours at a time, having alert wake times and having absolutely no problems eliminating.
Today was he actual due date. He was 5 days early but he is not missing a beat! I still can’t believe that he is really here. It all has gone by so fast.
